                    Course Overview
This one-day course provides candidates with an understanding of Building Regulations and how to comply with them in relation to unvented hot-water storage systems. It covers how to identify faults and meet other regulatory requirements, as well as the design, servicing, installation and maintenance of unvented systems. Pre-course self-study is also required.
The course is aimed at practising plumbing and heating engineers who already have knowledge of the fundamental requirements of hot and cold-water systems and central-heating systems, or students nearing completion of a Level 3 plumbing and heating qualification.
Modules Breakdown
Training and assessment cover the following areas:
- Operating principles of unvented hot-water storage systems
- Design and installation of unvented hot-water systems
- Maintenance of unvented systems
- Relevant Building Regulations
- Sealed central-heating systems
- Demonstration, practice and formal assessment
Assessment is through multiple-choice open-book theory exams, written theory and practical tests. On successful completion, learners receive a Certificate in Unvented Hot Water Systems.
Prerequisites
- 12 months relevant industry experience - If no formal qualification is held
- Recognised Level 2 Plumbing or related qualification

- Photo ID (passport or driving licence)
- Proof of previous qualification - If undertaking a Reassessment
